How do I import a reference from PubMed to Refworks?
Answer
1. Select the references you want to export using the tick box to the left of each reference.
2. Click on Send to: drop-down menu (top right)
3. Select Citation manager (under Choose Destination), and click Create File.
5. Save the file when prompted. Do not open the file and re-save as this may cause your import to fail.
6. In RefWorks, click on the + Add and Import references.
7. Click on ‘select file from your computer’. Click on your file and select ‘open’. Alternatively drag and drop the file into RefWorks.
8 . A pop up box will ask 'What is the format of this file?'
9. RefWorks should recognise the file type as NLM PubMed. Click on Import.
