Search Alert: How do I setup a Google Scholar alert for my research?

Answer

  1. To set up Alerts, go to scholar.google.com and click three lines and then "Alerts."
  2. Click on "Create Alert" Button.
  3. Type in the search you want Google Scholar to run.  If you are interested in new articles by a particular author you can type in that Author's name. Click the Create Alert button.
  4. After you set up the Alert Google Scholar will send you emails when a new citation matching those words is added.  To stop the Alert go back to the Alerts page and click "Cancel" next to the Alert you wish to cancel.
