User Identification and Borrowing Privileges

Answer

All library users must present a valid identification card to access the collections. Rider students, faculty, and staff must present their University ID card in order to borrow materials from the Library. Non-University borrowers must obtain an official guest borrower card issued by Library Access Services. Loss or theft of an identification card should be reported immediately to the Circulation Desk. Eligibility for some library services, such as paging books, using reserve material, and requesting items through interlibrary loan, are not available to some borrower classes. Please check your borrower class to find your eligibility. All borrower classes are able to

use available electronic resources and databases on-site. Remote access is limited by licensing agreements to current Rider University faculty, staff, and students. Borrowing privileges may be restricted if there are excessive fines due or if overdue materials have not been returned. Other individuals or entities who wish to use the library collections should contact the Manager of Access Services.
