Faculty Reserves
Answer
The Reserve Collection is maintained by the library to provide students with required reading/listening/viewing materials for their courses. With the exception of Reference items, all library materials can be placed on reserve by faculty. Current U.S. Copyright laws are followed in placing items on Reserve.
b. Use of Reserve materials is intended chiefly for primary users. Use by others is permitted when the demand for Reserve materials is low. Borrowing periods must conform to limits established for these materials. c. Faculty must complete the required request form in order for materials to be placed on reserve. Faculty should complete the reserve request form two weeks before the first day of classes, or one week lead time after the second week of classes, or four weeks lead time before the first day of classes if library staff must gather materials. d. Materials remain on Reserve through the end of the semester/session for which they are requested and can be continued on Reserve for the next semester/session if requested by the professor. The Library is not responsible for non-library materials that are not picked up one week after the end of the semester.
